New Management, New Growth

In the early 1990's Elliot Curwin's sons Gary and Louis agreed to purchase the company from Marv Miller and take over leadership with the goal to continue the companies current direction. Since then, VP has undergone rapid growth. Along with the acquisition of Territory Wholesale Supply, three new branches were added in Holley, Lockport and Medina, New York. In addition, a full HVACR division was established. A few years after, markets were established in both Syracuse and Buffalo, and though the Lockport and Medina branches were eventually closed down, much of the inventory and resources were shifted to create the new branches more conveniently located for both cities.

By the late 90's VP acquired another small wholesaler in New Hartford (Utica) and expanded it's reach further east and solidifying its position as one of the largest wholesalers in the Northeast. VP continued to expand by adding showrooms in both Buffalo and Syracuse, expanding their Holley branch, and has most recently acquired Danmor Kitchens in an effort to grow our Kitchen design division.

In early 2009 with the election of President Barack Obama, a large push for green and renewable energy alternatives came from Capitol Hill along with unprecedented incentives. VP quickly recognized this opportunity to set an example to other wholesalers out there, that going green is not only the right thing to do, but it can be a profitable and reasonable alternative to traditional infrastructure systems.

VP Cares About People

Gary and Louis Curwin have always maintained VP's focus on people. Where businesses today typically focus on trends and statistics, we here at VP believe the key component to our success is that we care about the needs of our customers and employees. From flexibility on complicated orders to assistance with large bids, our customers give us their loyalty because we take them into consideration first and foremost. This approach has not only set us apart from nearly every other competitor, but has allowed us to continue to grow and expand even in the heart of an economic downturn.

Today VP is proud to have remained one of the largest wholesalers in the Northeast and continues to expand and grow while still staying true to our core principals. If you are a current VP customer, we thank you for joining our family, and if you are interested in working with us, please don't hesitate, we can and will do our best to bring you excellent service while embracing the potential relationship that comes with any new customer.
