Rethink, Recycle, Reward is the motto that NYSEG and RG&E live by whom both are strong providers of Natural gas and other Natural resources. Natural resources help aid us to be able to live a comfortable and luxurious lifestyle. Conserving natural resources is crucial among household across the country to prevent extinction of these natural sources. The fast depletion of natural resources especially natural gas can be from improper and excessive use as the population is growing which puts more of a strain on them. There are ways moving forward in the future to help save and conserve natural gas.

NYSEG and RG&E are offering rebates that are hard to pass up. This rebate program is part of the New York State Public Service Commission's (PSC) Energy Efficiency Portfolio Standard (EEPS) for New York State. The purpose of the program is to encourage customers to purchase and install higher efficiency equipment, thereby reducing the state's overall energy consumption and encouraging wise energy use. The NYSEG/RG&E rebate is offered to cover a portion of any additional cost for purchasing high efficiency versus standard efficiency equipment.

NYSEG and RG&E offers rebates to eligible residential natural gas customers who replace their existing furnace or boiler, and/or water heater with high-efficiency natural gas equipment. Customers who install qualifying equipment in new construction are also eligible to participate in the program.  The new equipment must meet specific efficiency ratings. Boiler reset controls, indirect water heaters and programmable thermostats may also be eligible for rebates when installed at the time of a qualifying furnace or boiler installation.
