Goodbye MAPP gas, Hello MAP//PRO
With its sole supplier ceasing production of MAPP gas, TurboTorch is
introducing a replacement, MAP//PRO.
An
advantage MAP//PRO has over MAPP is a higher vapor pressure
resulting in better performance in colder temperatures. Another
difference between MAPP and MAP//PRO is the effective BTU output.
TurboTorch lab tests have revealed that MAP//PRO has approximately 10%
greater BTU output over Propane and a 14% less effective BTU output
than MAPP. However, given technical advancements, testing has shown
that TurboTorch torches maximize the performance of propylene based
(MAP//PRO) gas thereby offsetting any loss of BTU.
Turbo Torch will implement an average price increase of 4% on
April 1.
