Geothermal


Geothermal heat pump systems are efficient, save energy and are environmentally responsible. Using heat pumps and closed loop systems underground or underwater efficiencies of over 500% can be reached. This translates into 50 - 80% savings on heating, cooling and domestic hot water.

Geothermal systems are very simple. The ground temperature a few feet below the surface remains essentially constant throughout the year. During cold months heat is extracted from the earth loop in the ground. The heat is then distributed by a standard duct or radiant floor system. In warmer months the process is reversed. Heat is extracted from the air in your home and is transferred to the ground or your hot water heater.
