When VP Supply Corp was purchased in March of 1965 by Marv Miller and Elliot Curwin; it was a simple wholesale plumbing supplier. Housed on the 15,000 sq ft first floor of a four story warehouse on Brown Street in downtown Rochester, New York. Since 1997, when Elliot Curwin's sons Gary and Louis along with Gary Perkins took over leadership of the company, VP has grown rapidly.
With the acquisition of United Fasteners and Hardware, Legion Supply, Tri-Bro Supply, J.E Sawyer & Co., Inc. and Dansville Electrical Supply, VP Supply has widen its market reach throughout the Western, Central and the Capital District of New York State and Western Pennsylvania.
The company‘s acquisitions not only added additional branch locations to VP’s portfolio, but it also expanded VP ’s offerings to include HVAC, industrial contractor supplies, fasteners, hardware, tools and electrical products. Adding versatility to the reputable VP plumbing product offerings. By establishing the Innovations by VP kitchen and bath showrooms; VP has become an all-around resource to its customers.
Most recently, VP has taken it upon itself to not only become a more energy efficient company, but to offer its customers alternative options to traditional energy sources by establishing a Renewable Energy Division.
Since 1965, VP Supply has expanded to 16 locations throughout New York State in into Pennsylvania. Establishing itself as a Northeastern market leader in the wholesale plumbing, HVAC, renewable energy, kitchen and bath design industries. Creating jobs and keeping dollars within the local community.

Elliot Curwin Golf Tournament
Elliot Curwin; founder of VP Supply, passed in 2003 after a brief battle with cancer. In memory of Elliot’s leadership role in Rochester’s nonprofit organizations, proceeds from this annual golf tournament; held every second Tuesday in June, goes back into the community that he cared so much about.
50th Anniversary Cuba Place Rehabilitation Project
To celebrate 50 years of business, VP Supply and Flower City Habitat for Humanity partnered to build the Cuba Pl. Rehabilitation Project Home. Several volunteers and over 350 hours of labor helped build a home for a family in need in the city of Rochester, NY.
American Diabetes Associations Tour de Cure
After years of participating himself, in 2011 Gary Curwin; President of VP, formed the Elliot Curwin Cycling Team with a roaster of VP employees. VP Supply’s annual participation helps to promote team building with in the company as well as supports a worthy cause, finding a cure for diabetes.
VP Supply Annual Clam Bake: VP Supply employees and customers get together the first Thursday in June at the Spinning Wheel Restaurant in Syracuse, NY to enjoy clams, games and raffles. Proceeds from the 50/50 raffle go to a preselected charity.
